Anyone know how to set up SDL2 and C++ in vscode?

Figured I’d test out this whole programming help category thing by actually asking a question I’ve been wanting to ask for a while.

I actually…don’t know how to create a new C++ project in Visual Studio Code. Unreal Engine 4 can generate them no problem and that works for Peacenet, but I’d like to create SDL2 projects in vscode so I don’t have to use Visual Studio 2017 in my dual credit.

I really don’t like vs2017 anymore, vscode is SO much easier for me to use. I love its hotkeys and Zen mode. If anyone could tell me how to use it properly for C++, that’d be awesome.

Write a build file. Preferrably CMake, as it allows the use of a variety of build systems. However you can use make if you want.

I would have literally no clue how to do that honestly.

You can probably look it up.

I think I might look for an extension or something to do it. Either that or my prof will hopefully know.

I don’t think that’s how it works.

My prof. is right over there. I’ll ask him.
